If there’s one of my stories that I keep getting asked to continue, it’s King’s Men. So, in advance of its Smashwords publication, I’m doing exactly that. These six are from my work in progress.

‘Nice and quiet,’ observed Godfrey, looking round.
‘Worryingly quiet, you might say,’ added Aidan with a smile.
Mick grinned back. ‘You might also say it depends on your point of view. And I wouldn’t want to have the point of view of the Captain of the Guard right now.’
Together, the three men sauntered out into the middle of the near-deserted square.
